2007 DC Red Dress Run FAQ

Q. Is it really limited to 500 people? Come on, I know you're just trying to hype it.
A. Yes, it really is limited to 500 people. That is the capacity of several of our venues. Why are we using smaller venues? The smaller venues offer us better options for trail and location.

Q. What is the giveaway?
A. Something cool. You'll dig it.

Q. I've already registered and now I can't make it? Can I transfer my registration?
A. Yes, feel free to pass your registration along to someone else. Email us with their info when you're ready to transfer. We plan to have a message board service on our site soon. You can use this to arrange registration transfers. Do NOT expect RDR MM to connect you with a buyer.

Q. Active.com is expensive! Why do I have to pay the service fee?
A. You pay the service fee specifically because it is expensive. You'd be paying it either way. Either we build it into the cost (making the event more expensive for everyone, even those who use stamps) or we bill it only to those who take advantage of the luxury of online registration. More expensive for everyone or just for those who take advantage of it?

Q. This is a rip-off! Your event is so expensive.
A. What's your question? You want a fun party with lots of people in a downtown area? So do we, but those venues don’t come cheap. MM members pay their own registrations. We're not making any money off of you. We're aiming to break even and stay out of jail.
