Hash 1282 – Alexandria, VA – December 13 – 3:00 PM

Usually when I think the hares made a mistake in spelling or the starting location, I make the changes and send the pack to the wrong place.  This week, however, I refuse to do that.  According to our hares, trail will start at the end of Somerville Street in Alexandria VA.  When I google Somerville, it does not exist.  So I looked at the trail map and it seems that google spells Somerville with an "E" instead of an "I".  Now, because google is not always right and I am unsure what the street signs will say, I am giving you a heads up.  If your GPS or google map does not find Somerville, try using Somervelle.  If the street sign says Somervelle and not Somerville, you are still in the right place.

 

Anyway, good luck at getting to trail this week and have a kick ass time.  The trail and OnOnOn look awesome!  Be there or be square. 

 

Oh, and remember to bring warm clothes.  It will make end circle that much more enjoyable.

A close address for google or GPS is 241 Somerville St., Alexandria, VA 22304.  Proceed to the parking lot at the end of Somerville St.

Directions:
From 395:  Take Duke St exit towards old town then right on Somerville St.

From 495:  Take Van Dorn exit towards Alexandria right onto S Pickett. Then right onto Duke St then right onto Somerville St.

From old town Duke St towards 395: Take a left onto Cameron Station Blvd. Go around the roundabout onto Ben Berman Blvd then right onto Somerville St.  

Dog Friendly Factor: Dog Friendly on both the R*nners' and Walkers' trails.

Stroller Friendly Factor:   Ask hares for stroller friendly workaround

Miscellaneous:   Trail is A – A.  Bring bag with dry shoes and clothes.  It is winter so bring warm clothes.  A flashlight is preferred since it does start getting dark.
