Hash 1278 – National Harbor/Oxon Hill, MD – November 15

Just a few short announcements before I get started with the trail news.

 

First:  Stop complaining about trails and sign up to hare them.  Maybe then you will get a full understanding on how much time hares put into their trails for you.  Look at the hareline for available dates.  Hint:  29 November through infinity is all available.

 

Second:  The little blue box on the website.  Please do not use this as your only means to get trail information.  If it is not updated, click on the details link or select a date on the right side of the page.  Sometimes your hare razor has technical difficulties with keeping her box updated.

 

Third:  Tis the time to honor our veteran's.  Because of this, Help Me I'm Wet would like to invite us to the VFW in Great Falls on Friday 13, November.  She has some friends from out of town she would like us all to meet.  See details below in hash events.

 

Fourth:  Sign up for the EWH3 AGM.  According to their hare razor, there are 65 people registered and most are NOT EWH3 hashers.  Let's out number them.  Details below.

Hash 1278 – National Harbor/Oxon Hill, MD – November 15

Hares:  French Toasted, Electric Slide, Tooth Fairy, and Slurpee

Cost:  $5

 Start:  Oxon Hill Park and Ride

 D-erections:  Take 495 to National Harbor exit 2A.  The exit will split, follow exit towards Harbor View Dr.  At light make a left onto Oxon Hill Road.  Take first right into park and ride.  Look for wankers in the far left corner of the park and ride.

 

Miscellaneous: Trail is A – A and is not stroller friendly.  Walkers and runners will need a change of clothes and shoes.  A flashlight is not necessary; we will be done with trail way before dark.   It is going to be 70 and sunny on Sunday so bring a chair and hope for a long fun circle.

Veterans Day (Help Me I'm Wet and out of town friends)

 

On Friday the 13th, we're going to the VFW in Great Falls to honor all Vets (and just because it's a cool place to go).  Will run a bit @ 4:30 (at least to the Falls ) and come on back for my favorite kind of beer - cheap!  :)  Please come meet my friends and join us!!! 
 
The VFW is looking for new members too, and the whole club is run by hashers.  Bring your DD214 if you're interested.  You have to be a veteran of a foreign war to become a member.  Directions to VFW below... 
 
The VFW is on MacArthur Blvd inside the Great Falls Md National Park. From Tysons Corner, head north on I-495. Immediately after crossing into VA, exit west on Clara Barton Parkway. Come to a T intersection and turn left onto MacArthur Blvd. Continue on MacArthur into the Park. First, and only, building on your right is the VFW.
