Sniff.  My tenure as hareraiser must be coming to an end - this week marks the second of two announcements wherein I remind you wankers of the Daylight Saving Time clock changes.  Before you toddle off to bed Saturday night, set your alarm clock back an hour so that you'll arrive to the hash at the proper time on Sunday.  Alternatively, if you "forget" about the time change, at least bring some malt liquor and a brown paper bag with you so you'll have something to do in the extra hour before the hash starts.  

 

Another reminder - one of our hares this week, Rambutt, would like everyone to know that her name is one word, not two, nor it is a request.  On the other hand, JOL's name is a request.  He would like you to jack him off.  The interpretation of hash names of the other hares is left as an exercise for the reader.  

 

Thirdly and most importantly, BRING A FLASHLIGHT this week.

(Metro) Blue line towards Franconia-Springfield.  Get off at Van Dorn Street Station and follow chalk to the lower end of the parking lot.  Find the wankers and get your hash on.  

 

(Driving) From pretty much anywhere in DC, NOVA, or MD:  Get yourself to the beltway and take the exit for Van Dorn Street.  Turn to the North (that would be a left turn for you!) and go under the beltway, turn right at the light for Eisenhower Ave.  Take an immediate left by the metro station, the Park and Ride is right down there.  Find the wankers and get your hash on.  

 

Alternatively, you can take I-395 south to the Duke Street exit (3A)(towards Alexandria) and then take the exit for Van Dorn Street.  Come down the hill past the McDonalds, and up over the hill to the other side, then left at Eisenhower and another immediate left for the metro station.  Click this link for a map of the start. Miscellaneous: A to A'.  Walker's trail - stroller friendly, dog friendly.  Runner's trail - very tough-dog friendly.  Possibly a high water crossing - with possibly a low water option - but no promises.  Tunnels - long, dark tunnels...  Flashlight - have we mentioned you should bring a Flashlight?  PI - at this time of year? Better safe than sorry.  Bring dry clothes and shoes for the end.  Really, bring dry clothes - and a towel maybe.
